Port of Long Beach 28 Well Reabandonment Design

KEC worked with URS Corporation to prepare a turnkey bid package for the reabandonment of 28 oil wells located on the 160 acre Pier S future marine terminal site. The oil wells were originally abandoned and buried along the border of the shipping channel between 1951 and 1996. The wells were successfully located, exposed, evaluated for current conditions, and reabandoned in accordance with current requirements to enable the construction of the new dike and pier.
